Cogs respects intellectual-property rights. This policy describes how copyright complaints relating to material stored or made available through the Cogs Service may be submitted.
1. Copyright Complaints
If you believe material available through Cogs infringes a U.S. copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, send a written notice containing substantially the following information:
- a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
- identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works at one online location are covered;
- identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit Cogs to locate it;
- your name and information reasonably sufficient to contact you, such as mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or law; and
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.
Copyright notices may be sent to:

2. Response to Notices
Cogs may remove or disable access to material when it reasonably believes doing so is appropriate under applicable law, contract, or policy. Where appropriate, Cogs may notify the affected customer or user.
3. Counter-Notification
If material you submitted was removed or disabled because of a copyright complaint and you believe removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification containing substantially the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g), including:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material removed or disabled and where it appeared before removal;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address, and telephone number; and
- a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate U.S. federal district court and accepting service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person's agent, as required by applicable law.
Cogs may restore material when permitted by law after forwarding a compliant counter-notification to the complaining party and following the applicable statutory process.
4. Repeat Infringers
Where appropriate and in appropriate circumstances, Cogs may terminate accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers.
5. DMCA Safe-Harbor Registration Status
Operational requirement before representing this contact as Cogs' “designated DMCA agent”: Spear America LLC must register the agent in the U.S. Copyright Office's electronic DMCA Designated Agent Directory and keep that registration current. Publishing this web page alone does not complete that registration.
Until registration is completed and verified, the contact above should be described publicly as Copyright Contact, not as a Copyright Office-registered “Designated DMCA Agent.”
