This Cookie Policy explains how Spear America LLC d/b/a Cogs uses cookies and similar technologies on GetCogs.ai and the Cogs Service.
1. What These Technologies Are
Cookies are small data files stored by a browser. Similar technologies can include local storage, software development kits, pixels, and comparable browser or device mechanisms.
2. How Cogs Uses Them
Cogs may use strictly necessary and functional technologies for purposes such as:
- authentication and maintaining signed-in sessions;
- account and application security;
- fraud and abuse prevention;
- load balancing and reliable delivery;
- preserving settings and user choices; and
- core Service functionality.
Cogs may also deploy performance, diagnostics, or analytics technologies to understand Service usage and diagnose errors. Before Cogs deploys any non-essential tracking technology that requires consent or additional notice under applicable law, Cogs will update this policy and implement the required controls.
Cogs does not use customer accounting data for third-party behavioral advertising and does not sell personal information.
3. Cookie Inventory Requirement
The production website and application must maintain an accurate cookie/technology inventory. This public policy should not list a provider or cookie that is not actually deployed. Engineering must update the inventory and this policy when tracking technologies materially change.
4. Choices
Strictly necessary technologies generally cannot be disabled without impairing the Service. Browser settings may allow users to delete or block cookies, but doing so may prevent authentication or other features from working.
Where non-essential technologies require consent under applicable law, Cogs will provide the applicable consent or preference controls before or at deployment.
5. Do Not Track and Universal Opt-Out Signals
Cogs does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. Cogs does not currently treat legacy Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals as a separate opt-out request where no law requires it.
Cogs will recognize legally required universal opt-out preference signals to the extent they apply to Cogs' processing.
6. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy as technologies or legal requirements change. Questions may be sent to legal@getcogs.ai.
